I'm not the avid fisherman that I use to be and I haven't brought a new fishing reel in years ( still have my old Shimanos). The most that I've ever paid for a reel is $125 (Shimano curado.), but that's been 20 years ago

Had no idea reels where so expensive these days

In conclusion, are there any reels that garner these high prices? Just wondering. Thanks
