I've landed some heavy monsters with this reel.... i keep it on hand for the big ones... landed this 33 with ease yesterday. Haven't figured out how to cast it for distance but I'm not really good with bait casters so maybe it's just my inexperience.

Abu C3 reels have it all going for them - power, durability, castability, ease of maintenance and super overall price point quality/value. The level wind mechanism is easy to remove if added casting distance is required, as well as adding a mono-mag for even better casting control than the supplied spool brakes.

My Arsenals maybe dated, C3's C4's Morrum's and Records but why change what's working! Parts to repair, upgrade are readily available and it is actually fun to strip these down and do the preventative care
