    Great so far

I have only fished the 7' 4" MH - mod a couple of times so far. I did land a 2.77 lb largemouth with it. The rod handled the fish effortlessly. I actually thought I had a 1 lb dink on there. I was pretty surprised that the fish was actually closer to 3 lbs.

    Solid blank, mediocre guides

Love the power and action, versatile, the 7'2" felt great with a finesse jig or a burning a spinner bait. Insert on the guide fell out in less than 100 casts. It's happened on 3 out of 7 Abu rods, 2 J Lee rods and also a more expensive Winch rod. If you're willing to repair or replace guides these are good value, love the blank, J Lee grips are ok, reel seat is decent, the distance between the reel and butt of the rod is perfect. I have 4 different models the 7'2" Medium Heavy Fast is my favorite with the 7'4" Medium Heavy Moderate-Fast is a close second. Last pic is the best bass landed on the 7'4" with a vibrating jig.

    Great rod for the price.

I like the color and design of the rod. It caste and handle fish just fine. This rod is lighter than my Fenwick HMG rod. Rod delivered in a rod tube with no damage guides except for the scuff marks on the rod. It didn’t affect performance but I wish it didn’t came that way. New rod should look new not used. Overall, I like this rod as much as my veritas rods. Will buy Abu Garcia products again in the future.

Great rod but bad quality control

I got the dock skipping rod and its really nice and lightweight, love the size, but the guides are crooked and dont line up properly. The first one is very off center. It doesn't really seem to affect the performance that I can tell its just a visual thing. Even at the price point of this rod the guides should be straight and lined up. Other than that I really like this rod, just wish the guides lined up.
